UNITED NATIONS INTERNATIONAL DAY IN
SUPPORT OF VICTIMS OF TORTURE
"TRUTH & TELLING ABOUT TORTURE"

Paul J. Findley of the Democracy Council will participate in the Victims of Torture event held by the United Nations. The event will take place on Sunday June 26, 2005 from 2:00-4:00 pm at Marymount High School in Westwood California (Cantwell Auditorium, 10643 Sunset Blvd., CA 90077).  The Keynote address will be given by Darius Rejali of Reed College. There will also be noted experts on torture and state violence, survivor testimonies, and cultural performances.  For more information call (213) 747-4944 ext. 246 Sponsored by Program For Torture Victims in association with Amnesty International U.S.A., Coalition to Abolish Slavery & Trafficking, Democracy Council, International Criminal Court Alliance, International Rescue Committee, and Stop Prisoner Rape.
