Democracy Council Discussion on One Year After Iran Elections

One year ago, Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad was re-elected to a second term, sparking weeks of protests and violent clashes between dissidents and police. The Democracy Council hosted a series of panel discussions on Capitol Hill about the election and its aftermath. The panels explored human rights issues and the role that information technology plays in Iran, as well as the implications of the protest movement for U.S. foreign policy.
