Los Angeles, CA - May 22, 2010 - The Democracy Council and Bosana Foundation present a Benefit Concert for the orphaned children of Bosnia and Herzegovina on Saturday at 8:00 pm at Barnsdall Gallery Theatre, Hollywood. The concert will be hosted by academy award nominated actress, Annette Bening.
Performances and appearances during the concert include: 1) Rade Šerbedžija: one of the former Yugoslavia’s finest actors, directors and musicians. He is internationally known for his roles in feature Hollywood films, including The Saint, Eyes Wide Shut, Mission: Impossible II, Snatch, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part I and others. 2) AlmaNova: the award-winning ensemble of innovative flute by Jessica Pierce and guitar by Almer Imamovic, who will be presenting an eclectic program of chamber music. 3) Miroslav Tadic: known for his pioneering work in applying the elements of classical and flamenco techniques to the electric guitar. Voted one of the world's thirty most radical and individual guitarists by GUITAR PLAYER magazine.

Bosana Foundation is an emerging organization being formed to assist orphans in Bosnia and Herzegovina. Democracy Council is Pleased to assist Bosana Foundation in this effort.
