Jodi Finkel

Jodi Finkel is an Assistant Professor of Political Science at Loyola Marymount University.  She investigates judicial reform and human rights in Latin America and has conducted research in Argentina, Mexico, Peru, and Ecuador.

Dr. Finkel has presented her work at conferences in the United States, Latin America and Europe, and has published several articles on judicial reform. She is also a founding board member of a non-profit organization that brings young people from around the world to volunteer in the community in Mexico City (www.hoycommunity.org). She received her Ph.D. from the University of California, Los Angeles, in 2001 and also holds a Masters in International Affairs from the University of California, San Diego.

Prior to her academic career, Dr. Finkel worked in Latin America as a business consultant and journalist.
